This position develops and implements effective search engine optimization (SEO) strategies for the Association's website. The Manager also monitors web traffic, content labeling, and links to content.
Primary Job Responsibilities:
Develops, implements, executes and manages SEO strategies for the Association's website, defining requirements, tasks and resources associated to SEO strategies. Communicates to department and management on strategy/project development, timelines and results. Provides SEO analysis and recommendations in coordination with elements and structure of websites and web pages;
Performs keyword research in coordination with business objectives to optimize existing content and uncover new opportunities. Develops and implements link-building campaigns;
Implements and administers search engine programs (e.g., XML sitemaps);
Monitors and evaluates search results and search performance across the major search channels in order to improve rankings. Monitors and evaluates web analytics dashboards and reports in order to develop and recommend SEO strategies; and
Keeps pace with SEO, search engine and marketing industry trends and development.
Ideal Candidates Will Have:
2-4 years of experience of search engine marketing (SEM) and SEO, working with popular keyword tools (e.g., Google, WordTracker, Keyword Discovery, etc.) and working with Content Management Systems and building/administering content in multiple CMS environments;
Knowledge of HTML/CSS and website administration. Experience with website analytics using a variety of analytics tools including Google Analytics;
Superior interpersonal, communication and presentation skills, with tact and professionalism;
Ability to analyze problems, develop a path toward problem solving, and manage the process to completion;
Strong multi-tasking, planning and organization skills with a comfort in maintaining multiple, often conflicting, priorities;
Effective project management, planning, and organization skills, with the ability to work autonomously and with initiative.
