Winnetka Community House (WCH) is looking for well-rounded candidates who possess strong skills in 3 key areas:
Technical expertise (web and graphics capabilities a must)
Writing/creative talent to produce a wide range of marketing materials.
Strong management/organizational skills to juggle numerous projects, volunteers and committee roles.
WCH a unique non-profit on Chicago’s North Shore that has played a special role in the community for over a century. Its mission is to enrich the lives of North Shore residents by providing educational, cultural, social and recreational opportunities for people of all ages. In addition to classes, programs and special events for every member of the family, WCH has a full service Fitness Centre and a gymnasium. Theater and dance productions are held year-round in historic Matz Hall. WCH is the heart of the community. The Marketing Manager’s position sits at the nexus of much of these activities.
Webmaster: Drive Winnetka Community House’s web presence including maintaining/updating multiple websites (WordPress) and ActiveNet online registration tool (images, video, blogs, etc).
Writing: Compose web communications, including eBlasts/news alerts, social media (Facebook, Twitter, Instagram and Pinterest).
Design and Produce: Posters/fliers/signs/mailers; (3) seasonal program guides annually; collateral materials for a variety of in-house, special events.
Mailing lists: Manage lists for a number of entities within WCH.
Signage: Update in-house digital calendar display and manage banner program.

Programming Languages to aid in troubleshooting:
HTML: Used for our site and email marketing. Other: CSS, Java Script, PHP
Independent, creative self-starter who can manage tight deadlines, see new revenue opportunities via sales & marketing efforts.
Ability to lead a team or work well in one (especially with volunteers).
3-7 years of progressive responsibility in business environment, especially marketing, design, communications, PR or related.
Bachelor’s degree in Marketing, Graphic Arts, Communications or related field.
Track record of developing engaging social media content.
Strong graphic design skills.
Excellent presentation, organizational, writing and oral communication skills.
Detail-oriented, with strong project management skills.
This job requires a full-time, in-office presence.
