The overall purpose of this position is to formulate and execute strategies that will increase the productivity of each one of the AMR Direct channels of Distribution, in order to reach the annual goals. This is completed through problem solving, as well as analyzing data, leveraging technology, and establishing strong vendor relationships. Essential Duties/Responsibilities: •Manage all process flows for booking tools in AMR Direct channels of Distribution both domestically and internationally, including a budget exceeding $140M on an annual basis including ?Call Centers?Booking Engines?GDS•Develop strategy to hit budgetary goals by conducting beta tests to develop best practices and guidelines and then seeing those through to implementation and track results; including but not limited to ?Booking processes flow?Room/Rate display options?Rate auditing for competitiveness•Stay abreast of industry trends specifically in the OTA space to ensure direct channels stay relevant and current in an evolving landscape•Manage vendor relationship with Vertical Booking – Relating to Direct business ?Manage multiple projects and developments from assessment through to implementation?Work with developers to implement upgrades, new features, enhancements and developments ?Brand Shops Booking Engines, Cendyn Interface, Credit Card Gateways, Reporting tools, Conversion tools etc.?Audit systems to identify issues and trouble shoot?Continuously push for improvements and new features?Maintain GDS connectivity for each resort•Manage vendor relationship with call center vendor (ALG contact center) – $1.8 million annual cost ?Create commercial terms, and review agreements?Develop budget for each resort and group as a whole?Monitor production and cost control – keep costs in line with Budget?Support incentives and initiatives to drive sales•Manage vendor relationship with TACs (Travel Agent Commission Payments System) ?Add new resorts to group agreement?Train resorts on software?Trouble shoot payment issues?Work with hotels to correct batch payments and ensure monthly payments go through?Review payment batches and work with AMRDirect to insure payments made on time?Review yearly calander of payments, debits and review cycles•Manage relationship with AMRDirect financial processes – ALG affiliate Finnamar ?Ensure payments and refunds go through successfully?Troubleshoot issues between AMR direct and Credit Card processing provider (Worldpay)?Audit of accounts to implement reverse aging process to properly balance accounts?Assist with chargebacks and disputes•Manage vendor relationship with credit card payment processor – Worldpay ?Review fraud issues?Manage legal requirements and addendums as they occur – liase with internal ALG counsel?Manage Risk Guardian software to minimize fraud?Whitelabel travel agent and other cards as needed?Add 3rd party payment gateways ?Manage relationships with these vendors -Paypal, Google Wallet ?Review commercial terms and agreements before legal sign off•Conduct ongoing discovery call with potential vendors and partners ?Review commercial agreements and terms, examine system requirements and feasibility of partnering•Work closely with Demand Generation team to add tagging and code to booking engine pages and areas as needed•Work with marketing on digital marketing and initiatives for International promotions•Work with webstack developers to insure all links to booking engines are correct functioning ?Create unique URLs to point to specific targets•Manage vendor relationship with Bestday Travel Solutions for international booking engines ?Map rates and room categories to CRS system?Work with vendor to provide reporting monthly?Implement flash sales and promotions?Review commercial terms and commission structure?Work with marketing to insure websites are featuring sales and are in line with US sites?Institute international strategy in all markets•Work with AMStar to optimize commissions from bookings of transfers and services ?Create annual budget•Create monthly reporting on all channels•Manage AMR Direct team in NSO•Complete onboarding process of all new hotels by ensuring proper set up and creation in all systems and with all tools
Education: •Bachelor’s degree required Experience:•3-5 years industry experience preferably in the area of e-commerce Language: •Spanish preferred but not required Characteristics:•Excellent written and oral communication skills•Must be proficient in Microsoft Excel including Pivot Tables•Microsoft Access experience preferred but not required•Excellent time management and project management skills•Ability to achieve defined objectives with minimum supervision•Attention to detail, proactive and good organization•Valid passport and ability to travel required•Ability to work in a fast paced environment independently Physical Demands:Reasonable accommodations may be made to enable individuals with disabilities to perform the essential functions.
